Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration- Part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, this site provides information for finding community mental health services within the U.S.
World Federation for Mental Health- This organization assists people from all over the world in finding services in their area.
***Universities and teaching hospitals often offer free mental health services to their students, residents, and employees. Many of these hospitals sometimes also offer low-cost services to the community at large. Check with your university or local teaching hospital for more information.
Drug Information Portal -This is quite possibly the most complete drug information resource on the web. Maintained by the National Library of Medicine, it pulls from other government agencies to provide an easy to understand overview of drug formulations, interactions, and box warning labels. Always double check to make sure the drug name is typed correctly before hitting the search key!!

NAMI -National Alliance on Mental Illness, the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization. The advocate for access to treatment services and support mental health research.
TWLOHA- To Write Love On Her Arms is a non-profit organization dedicated to dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. TWLOHA inspired me to create this blog (and attending on of their conferences is on my list of 101 in 1001).
Active Minds- Active Minds is a non-profit organization that empowers students to change the conversation on mental health by encouraging education and help-seeking in campuses across the nation. My old school had a chapter of Active Minds- check with your Student Life office for information.
